23-10-2018- MUSHROOM CULTIVATION TRAINING PROGRAMME AT ELLAPROLU VILLAGE

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany, organized and delivered an invited talk on Cultivation of Mushrooms for the self-help Women groups at Ellaprollu Village on 23^rd Oct, 2018 organized by ALANA of ALC and Center for People’s Support supported by Tata Trusts. 
          Total 45 women participated in this workshop. Different NGO Organizations, village officials participated in this workshop.

Prof. C. P. Rao, Professor,  IIT- MUMBAI, DBT Star College Scheme Mentor Visited ALC, He observed all the activities conducted under DBT Star College Scheme Sponsored by DBT, Govt. of India. 

He visited all the Labs and explained how to maintain all the instruments in a systematic way. 

He interacted with the faculty and Explained about the  NEW DISCOVERIES- PROPERTY RIGHTS in Research. All the Biological Science Faculty participated in this programme.

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany, nominated as a delegate for 4^th India International Science Festival- NSTC-2018, under DBT Star College Scheme organized by the IISF is being organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences in association with Vignan Bharati, Govt. of India from 5^{th to} 8th Oct, 2018 at Indira Gandhi prathisthan, Lucknow.

 It is coordinated by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and the nodal agency is National Institute of Immunology (NII). One of the prominent components of IISF is National Science Teachers Congress (NSTC). The objective of NSTC is to create a single platform to share our experience and put forth the future road map for the country.
