     Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany Invited as Jury Member for DST, Govt. of India  Sponsored state level INSPIRE- MANAK Project Evaluation Competitions on 12th  Feb, 2024 at Andhra Loyola College,  Vijayawada, organized by the District education Dept, NTR Dt, Andhra Pradesh. 

                               

12-02-2024- DST- INSPIRE MANAK DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETETTIONS

 INSPIRE-MANAK - DST- GOVERNAMENT OF INDIA  in association with Andhra Loyola College organized District level Project evaluation and Exhibition at Andhra Loyola College on 12th Feb, 2024. Total 140  projects displayed in the exhibition. All the officials and Guide teachers attended in this program. 

12-02-2024 - ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON MICROBIAL TECHNIQUES

The first B.Sc. Botany Major students participated in a two day workshop organized by the dept. of food technology on 12th Feb, 2024. 

 

09-02-2024 - BOS MEETING AT MARIS STELLA COLLEGE

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Department of Botany attended BOS Meeting at. Mary’s Stella  College (Autonomous), Vijayawada  on 9th Feb, 2024 as a Subject Expert  in Agriculture and rural development as subject expert. Appointed by the Krishna University. 

 

03-02-2024 - INVITED TALK ON MICROBIAL DIVERSITY AND ITS ROLE - FIRST B.SC BOTANY MAJOR STUDENTS

The Dept. of Botany organized an invited talk on  "MICROBIAL DIVERSITY AND ITS ROLE" for the first B.Sc Botany major students  on 3rd Feb,2024 in the Botany Lab. Dr. K. Bala Chandra, Dept. of Microbiology delivered the talk. He explained the different types of Microbial techniques and identification of different types of  microbes. Dr. B. Siva Kumari HoD and other members of the dept. participated in this programme. 

 

03-02-2024 - ONE DAY HANDS ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON MUSHROOM CULTIVATION

 The Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College organized  a  one day  Workshop on hands on training  programme on  Mushroom Cultivation from 03rd  Feb, 2024 at Andhra Loyola College (Vijayawada) in Collaboration with Tanusree Mushrooms Vijayawada, for the III B.Sc DZ Students.

Total 25 members participated in this workshop. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Andhra Loyola College and Mr. T. Jaya Chandra acted as Resource persons. The Resource persons explained the importance, procedure, sterilization harvesting and Marketing of Mushrooms.
