30-10-2021- INVITED TALK ON CAREER GUIDANCE FOR BIOLOGY STUDENTS.

The Department of Botany organized an invited talk  on " Personality Development" on 30th  October ,2021 as a part of Ayurveda Week from 26th October 2021 to 2nd November, 2021. 

Rev,. Fr. Dr. P. Anthony, Former Principal of Loyola Academy and HoD of Zoology Dept. ALC, delivered the talk. Father well explained about the importance of Personality Development, Knowledge, Creative thinking, and how to avoid unnecessary digital technology.  

Fr also delivered the role and scope of biological sciences. He also focused on need of different types of skills for sustainable life.

. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao, Mr. K. Sankar from Botany Dept. participated in this programme. 

Father also visited the poster presentations displayed by the students.

29-10-2021- 3RD TRAINING PROGRAMME ON MUSHROOM CULTIVATION

 The Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College organized APCOST  sponsored a   Three  day Regional Workshop on hands on training  programme on  Mushroom Cultivation from 27^th to 29^th October, 2021 at Andhra Loyola College (Vijayawada) in Collaboration with Tanusree Mushrooms Vijayawada, for the Students, Teachers and Entrepreneurs.

Total 250 members from Krishna Dt. participated in this workshop. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Andhra Loyola College and Mr. T. Jaya Chandra acted as Resource persons. The Resource persons explained the importance, procedure, sterilization harvesting and Marketing of Mushrooms. All the Officials of the Management and Faculty members participated in the Inauguration and Valedictory.

The Department of Botany organized a Hands on Training Workshop on MUSHROOM CULTIVATION on 27th Oct, 2021, in Collaboration with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and TANUSREE MUSHROOMS with the financial support of APCOST, GOVT. OF ANDHRAPRADESH. 

All the management members and faculty members actively participated in this program. Total 112 students from Degree and P.G participated in this program.

07-9-2021- ONE DAY ORIENTATION CUM WORKSHOP FOR INSPIRE -MANAK TEACHERS

 The Dept. of Botany, Andhra Loyola College ( Autonomous) in collaboration with Dept. of School Education, Krishna District organized a one day Teachers workshop program for the INSPIRE-MANAK selected projects on 7th, Oct, 2021 at Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada. The program started with the words of welcome by Rev.Fr. Rayappa, SJ, Vice- Principal Degree. Father well explained the importance of INSPIRE and role of teacher in students motivation and promoting creative ideas.  

Mr. M. Hussein, District Science Coordinator, explained how to upload the projects through online and also shared the importance of the program. 

 Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Professor in Botany, Andhra Loyola College invited as resource person to enlightened the importance of the program and how to create new ideas in young minds. She also explained the new innovations in Science and Technology.  Total 55 Teachers from Vijayawada Division, of Krishna Dt. participated in this Program.
