1.      Andhra Loyola College in collaboration with ALIET, Vijayawada  organized a DBT sponsored one day Regional Seminar on ""NEED A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR BETTER  FUTURE"" on 25th Nov, 2019 at ALIET (Vijayawada) for the Public. Total 105 members from Krishna Dt. participated in this Seminar. Management of ALIET, Women, Cell of ALIET and Dr. B. Siva Kumari, from Andhra Loyola College participated in this program.

22-11-19- ONE DAY ORIENTATION FOR SCIENCE FARE & INSPIRE TEACHERS - ON HOW TO INNOVATIOVE SCIENCE PROJECTS TO DST

.      Andhra Loyola College organized a one day Teachers orientation program for the NCSC selected projects on 22nd Nov, 2019 in collaboration with APCOST and District Education Dept. Krishna District. Ms. L. Chandrakala, DYEO, Krishna Dt, Mr. M. Hussein, District Science Coordinator, Management of ALC participated in this program. Total 55 Teachers participated in this Program.. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany organized this programme.

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Department of Botany delivered an invited talk on “Conservation of Biodiversity- Ecological Justice at Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada organized by the Department of English on the eve of Birth Anniversary of Margaret Atwood – Feminine Environmentalist   on 19th November 2019







08/11/2019- GARDENS OPEN THE OUTSIDE STUDENTS

Campus visit by students from School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, an institute of National Importance, MHRD, Government of India.18 students studying B.Arch course in School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, accompanied by 3 staff visited the ALC campus on 08-11-2019 to study the Indegenous flora of Andhra Loyola College.Dr.T.Rose Mary- HOD,Ms. J .Swarnalatha of the Department of Botany, ALC explained about the Indigenous flora and their importance.

17-09-2019- JURY MEMBER, WORLD OZOME DAY- 16-09-2019 and FIELD TRIP ( 04/09/2019)

1.      Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Department of Botany, Invited as Jury Member at District Level Science Seminar Competitions  held at Regional Science Center, Bhavanipurum 17th September, 2019 organized by the APCOST and  District Education Dept. Krishna, and Andhra Pradesh. 








16/09/2019- World Ozone Day

The Department of  P.G Botany and NSS Unit organized “WORLD OZONE DAY” a a One Day Seminar on 16th September 2019.

Invited Talk: Dr.Sri Kumar, Dean of Sciences, delivered an invited talk on ozone depletion.

Competitions: On that day poster presentation competitions was held on the topic “THE IMPORTANCE OF NON-OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCES IN THE PROTECTION OF OZONE LAYER”. The winners for this competition are Vasavi (NMBY-  19) won the 1st prize in poster presentation and Durga won the 3rd prize poster presentation.

04/09/2019  - Field trip

The Department of botany organized a field trip to Tenneru for ll -year degree students. As study of Flora is part of the curriculum in Botany, students were enlightened on different types of plants grown in the garden of Mr.Madhusudhan Rao in Tenneru village by the staff. Different plants includes ornamental, medicinal, avenue commercially useful plants ,vegetable crop plants, exotic plants and endangered plants are grown in the garden . HOD Dr.T.Rose mary, Mrs.S. Sailaja, Ms.J. Swarnalatha Mrs.I. Prasanthi and lab assistant Ramana accompanied the students.

   Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Department of Botany invited as Jury Member for Amaravathi Balostavum- 2019 at SRR and CVR Government College on 16th August, 2019, organized by the Amaravathi Balostavum, Krishna Dt in collocation with SRR and CVR Government College, Vijayawada.
