PLASTIC FREE CAMPAIGN - 19-11-2014

Not till the plastics has become a poisonous, that the world has recognized the potential harms it could bring in along with the wide range of services it can render. Hence, observing the need to curb the use of plastic and to bring in the lime light the effects due to increasing plastic usage 19th Nov, 2014 is commemorated as a Plastic Free Day.


Plastic creates toxic pollution at every stage of its existence(manufacture, use and disposal. Plastic is a material that earth cannot digest every bit of plastic that has every been created still exist the small amount that has been incinerated and has become toxic particulate 

matter in the environment, plastic breaks down into small particles that attract toxic chemicals. These particles are injected by fauna on land contaminated the food chain. The harmful chemicals leached by plastics or present in the blood streams in and tissues of almost everyone of us, including new born babies. Consumption of disposal plastic bags and bottles stars and so forth has spiraled out of control. These items are used in seconds ,hours, or days but they remains last forever. Most of the plastic wastes is land-filled recycling of plastic is costly and does not prediction of virgin plastic products.Plastic pollution is a collation is a global alliance of individuals towards a world free plastic pollution and its toxic impacts on humans ,animals and the environment.

  In above reasons, the students of NGC  of our College are actively participated in PLASTIC FREE CAMPUS every month. the volunteers are educated to others students not to use plastic bags ,bottles, and other plastic items. Instead of plastic, we encourage the usage of cotton bags and glass bottles etc .
