FIELD VISIT TO STUDY THE FLORA OF ANDHRA LOYOLA COLLEGE
The Department of Botany organized a one-day field visit for final-year students on 7 January 2025 to study and document the flora of the Andhra Loyola College campus. The programme provided students with an opportunity to gain first-hand practical knowledge of plant identification, diversity, morphology, and ecological significance through direct field observation.
All faculty members of the Department of Botany and 20 final-year students participated in the field visit. The activity strengthened students’ field-based learning, observation skills, and understanding of plant diversity and conservation, thereby complementing their classroom and laboratory learning. The programme contributed to experiential learning and academic enrichment in alignment with NAAC quality initiatives.
