Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany Invited as Jury Member for DST, APCOST and VIBHA sponsored District Level Poster Presentation Competitions on Biodiversity Conservation, Pollution, Conservation of Natural Resources etc  on 29th  Dec, 2021 at Potti Sreeramulu Engineering College, Vijayawada.

 

24/12/2021- III B.SC STUDENTS- HORTICULTURAL VISIT

As a Part of the Curriculum, the Dept. of organized one Day Horticulture Expo visit to III B.SC Biology Students on 24^th Dec, 2021. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany, accompanied the students. Madam explained the Importance of   Horticulture, Floriculture. Today millions of crores business due to this sector. She also explained the need of Indoor gardening, different types of Indoor plants, maintenance, Bonsai technique, Bouquet flowers, preparation of  Bouquets, Container types,  different type of propagations, Horticultural tools, Fertigation types and pesticides.

Students visited all the stalls and they learned the importance of nursery, gardening and floriculture.

                    

                            

23/12/2021- Expert's Meeting for Inspire Awards Manak - DLEPC

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Department of Botany, invited for Expert's Meeting for Inspire Awards Manak - DLEPC, as  an Expert Member on 23rd  Dec, 2021 at 2.30 P.M onwards, organized by the National Innovation Foundation-India. 

NIF Faculty explained the procedure for the selection of the projects through online mode.
