The Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada, organized a field visit to a nursery at G. Gannavaram on 13 October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to study its structure, organization, and management practices.
Dr. G. Ramesh, faculty member, Department of Botany, visited the nursery to gain firsthand knowledge of its establishment, infrastructure, and operational practices. The visit focused on nursery layout, seed sowing, seedling production, transplantation, preparation of potting mixtures, irrigation methods, plant propagation techniques, and the maintenance of ornamental and horticultural plants. Attention was also given to pest and disease management, plant care, and the maintenance of healthy planting materials.
