    What is translator mechanism?
It is seen in Asclepediacae and orchidaceae.
In this family the pollen is modified into pollinia. Pollinia is connected to corpusculum. Inside the pollinia sticky pollen grains are present.
Insect lands on the pentafid stigma, a minute slit is present at the centre of the corpusculum. Insect legs get into the slit and pollinia stick to the insect legs . This entire process is called translator mechanism
