Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada observed the Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra initiative on the 3rd Saturday of February (21 February 2026). On this occasion, students were enlightened on the theme “Zero Litter Governance,” highlighting the importance of cleanliness, civic responsibility, and sustainable practices for a healthier society.

The students actively participated with great enthusiasm and took a solemn oath to contribute towards making Andhra Pradesh a truly Swachha Andhra through responsible behavior and collective action.

We sincerely thank the Management for their constant encouragement and visionary guidance. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. B. Sivakumari, Vice Principal; Dr. K. Anuradha, Head, Department of MathematICS  Dr. A. Mary Manjula Rani; Dr. A. Lavanya; Dr. R.P.I. Durga Bai Poonam; and Ms. S. Krishna Keerthi of the MCA Department for their valuable support and immense help in organizing and inspiring this meaningful initiative.

                          SWARNA ANDHRA - SAWCHA ANDHRA

As part of the Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra (Zero-Gap Sanitation Andhra Programme), an oath-taking ceremony was organized at Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada, on 24 January 2026. Nearly 180 students actively participated in the programme.

The ceremony aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness, personal hygiene, sanitation, environmental responsibility, and responsible civic behaviour. The participants took a pledge to contribute towards maintaining a clean and healthy society.

The NSS Units expressed their sincere gratitude to Rev. Fr. B. Suresh Kumar garu, Vice Principal; Dr. B. Sivakumari garu, Vice Principal; Mr. K. Joseph garu; Mr. G. Shravan garu; and Madam M. Nirmala Rani garu for their valuable support and encouragement in making the programme meaningful and successful.



INVITED TALK ON IPR RIGHTS

INVITED TALK ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The Department of Botany and Biotechnology, Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada, organized an invited lecture on “Role of Intellectual Property Rights in Innovation, Research and Development” on 03 February 2026. Dr. C. Ganesh, Director, Centre of Excellence, ALIET, served as the resource person and highlighted the importance of patents, copyrights, trademarks and other IPR mechanisms in protecting innovative ideas and research outcomes. The session motivated students and faculty to pursue original research, innovation and commercialization of scientific discoveries. The programme provided valuable exposure to IPR awareness and strengthened the institution’s commitment to research and innovation.
