17-8-2016- DBT- SPONSORED ONE DAY WORKSHOP FOR BIOLOGY SUPPORTING STAFF

The Departments of Botany, Biotechnology & Microbiology  organized a one-day DBT- MHRD, Govt of India New Delhi,  sponsored Regional  Workshop  on Instrumentation and Lab Maintenance" for Supporting Staff Members on 17th Aug, 2016.

The key note address was delivered by Prof. K. Srinivasulu, HoD, Dept of Biotechnology. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Coordinator of the programme explained the need of training for Laboratory staff.  Total 24 participants from different colleges participated in this workshop. 

Total staff divided into batches and trained them in Microbiology techniques, Laboratory safety techniques, Biochemistry and Molecular biology techniques, Microscope repair & Safety precautions.

Dr. B. Kannaba, Sri .Nancharaiah, Ms. V. Kavitha and Dr. B. Siva Kumari trained the participants. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, DBT Coordinator distributed the participation certificates. Ms. Kavitha Organizing Secretary presented the two day workshop report and Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept of Botany, Coordinator of the workshop proposed vote of thanks.  All the officials of the College, faculty and students of the Department of Botany, Biotechnology & Microbiology participated in the workshop.

e- CONTENT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP IN REGIONAL LANGUAGES- 16th -18th Aug, 2016

Andhra Loyola College in Collaboration with CIS-A2K Bangalore, organized a Three Day e- Content development Workshop for Botany, Physics and Statistics and Telugu   Students on 16^th to 18^th Aug, 2016. 

Total 62 Students from four Departments participated in this workshop and digitized 750 pages. Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Coordinator, Dr. T. Sekhar Organizing Secretary and Mr. Pawan Santhosh programmer participated in this workshop. 

Dr. G. Sambasiva Rao, Dept of Telugu and Vice- Principal of ALC,  delivered Valedictory message and distributed the certificates to the participants.

National Green corps organized Campus Cleaning Programme and Plantation work on 4^th Aug, 2016,  near the Canteen. A total no 100 Biology Students participated in this Programme. Dr. B. Siva Kumari NGC Coordinator monitored the programme.
