National Children’s Science Congress – 2026- District-Level Orientation Programme  for Teachers– August 7, 2026

Vijayawada, August 7, 2026: A One-Day District-Level Orientation Programme for NTR District Science Teachers under the National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC)–2026, on the theme “Science and Innovation for Sustainability,” was organized at Mummadi Hall, Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada, in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Departments of Botany and Chemistry, and IQAC, with the support of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Around 300 Science teachers, along with MEOs and DSOs, participated in the programme. Rev. Fr. Arul Jothi, SJ, II Vice Principal, delivered the Welcome Address, while Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Francis Xavier, SJ, Correspondent, and Mrs. I. Chandrakala, DEO, NTR District, addressed the gathering.

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, I Vice Principal, and Dr. B. Bala Karuna Kumar, Department of Chemistry, presented the theme and highlighted the importance of scientific innovation and sustainable solutions. Dr. M. Ynum Hussain, State Academic Coordinator, NCSC–2026, explained the significance of NCSC and INSPIRE programmes.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Sri Picheswara Rao, DSO, NTR District, NCSC–2026, and served as an effective platform for strengthening teachers’ capacity to promote scientific temper, innovation and sustainability among school students.
