06/04/2022- INSTITUTIONAL VISIT -K. L. UNIVERSITY

     The Department Of Botany organized a one day Institutional visit to KLUNIVERSITY ,Guntur District for the 3rd B. Sc  students , total 50 students along with the faculty attended this programme .students visited the Chemistry ,Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology to know about recent innovations in research and career development. in Biological Sciences.

  Dr. Shanmukh, Professor in chemistry, Dr, Siva prasad, Assistant Professor from KL University,        Dr. P. Srinivasrao participated in this programme, 

30/03/2022- NEW MUSHROOM CULTIVATION UNIT INAUGARATED

   The Dept. Of Botany started a mushroom cultivation unit under Entrepreneurship cell. The objective is to train the skill orientated programmes and also to make the students entrepreneurs. In this connection we started this from 2017 onwards, and giving hands on training programmes to students and for the public.

Krishna University, Register Dr. M. Rami Reddy, all the officials of the management,  staff  and students participated in this programme.                                    

                                    

30/03/2022- EXPO & INSTITUTIONAL VISIT

The Department Of Botany organized a one day Institutional visit and Medicinal plants expo to KVSR Siddhartha  Pharmaceutical College on 30^th March, 2022.  Total 35 students along with the faculty attended this programme .students visited the different stall related to ayurvedic drugs and display of medicinal plants. It is useful to know about recent innovations in research and career development. in Biological Sciences.

                                               

29/03/2022- BOS MEMBER AT MARIS STELLA COLLEGE

Dr. B. Siva Kumari, Dept. of Botany appointed as as University Nominee  by the Krishna University to attend  BOS  meeting at Maris Stella College on 29th  March,2022. 

 

22/03/2022-III B.SC BOTANY STUDENTS- FIELD TRIP - NURSERY GARDENING & FLORICULTURE

As a part of the Curriculum, III B.Sc DZ students Visited agricultural Dept. Land  on 23^rd  March, 2022. Total 60 students and staff visited and learn the important  mechanisms regarding Nursery establishment, bed preparation, seed laying, organic cultivation and different types of Medicinal plants. 

 

19/03/2022- STUDENTS SURVEY- IDENTIFICATION OF ORNAMENTAL PALM LOCATIONS IN THE CAMPUS

As a part of the curriculum, the III B.Sc students conducted the major project,  the students visited the entire 100 acres campus in ALC  for 30 days and they collected specimens and identified the different types of Ornamental palm plants  in the ALC campus.
