TWO-DAY BOTANICAL TOUR TO BHADRACHALAM
The Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, organized a two-day Botanical Tour to Bhadrachalam on 7th and 8th March 2026, with the participation of 25 students and faculty members. The tour aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the local flora, natural vegetation, biodiversity and tribal life of the region.
Students observed and studied various plants and their ecological and medicinal significance in their natural habitats. They also gained insights into the traditional knowledge, culture and dependence of tribal communities on forest resources. The tour provided valuable field-based learning and enhanced students' awareness of biodiversity conservation, ecology and sustainable utilization of natural resources.
