Educational Field Visit to Mulapadu Biodiversity Park 11-07-26

Vijayawada, July 11, 2026: The Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous), Vijayawada, organized an educational field visit to Mulapadu Biodiversity Park for the Second Year B.Sc. Botany students. The visit was aimed at providing students with first-hand field exposure to plant diversity, ecosystem structure, biodiversity conservation and species identification.

During the field study, students observed and documented various plant species, associated fauna and ecological components, thereby enhancing their understanding of plant taxonomy, habitat diversity, ecological interactions and conservation practices. The field-based learning experience enabled students to correlate theoretical concepts studied in the classroom with their natural occurrence and ecological significance.

All Second Year Botany students actively participated in the visit. The students were accompanied and guided by Dr. G. Ramesh, Faculty, Department of Botany, and Mr. P. Srinivasa Rao, Botany Attender, who facilitated the field observations and ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.

The field visit provided a valuable experiential learning opportunity, strengthening students’ scientific observation skills and awareness of the importance of biodiversity conservation and sustainable ecosystem management.
