The First B.Sc. Botany Major students of Andhra Loyola College actively participated in a two-day workshop organized by the Department of Food Technology, commencing on 12 February 2024.
The workshop focused on various microbial techniques, methods of food preservation and marketing strategies for different types of food products. Students gained knowledge about the application of microorganisms in food processing, preservation techniques, food safety and quality maintenance.
The programme also highlighted the importance of product development, packaging, value addition and marketing strategies for promoting food-based entrepreneurial activities.
The workshop provided students with interdisciplinary learning opportunities and enhanced their understanding of the practical applications of microbiology, food technology and entrepreneurship.
